Health literacy – Why it is so important for consumers?

Susan Reid (Consulting Manager) delivered this presentation on the 10th October 2011 to attendees at the New Zealand Self-Medication Industry AGM and Conference, in Auckland. The presentation focuses on the difficulty patients have in accessing information and instructions from medication packaging, and how a greater understanding of health literacy in the pharmaceutical industry could improve health literacy skills of patients.

Health Literacy and Chronic Conditions – What is the link?

Susan Reid (Consulting Manager) delivered this pre-conference workshop presentation on the 7th April 2011 to attendees at the Australasian Long-Term Health Conditions Conference, in Auckland. The presentation attempted to provide attendees with a firmer grasp of the finer elements of health literacy, and some tools to take away and use in the workplace with colleagues and patients.
